Bethan Woolley, Staffordshire FA Football Development Officer explained “this initiative has helped not only grow female football in Staffordshire, but has also created a complete new meaning of football for so many women.”

“The enthusiasm for the programme has been overwhelming and we are really excited to widen this offer and create further opportunities for a previously unengaged audience.”

Staffs. FA also run an Over 30s League.

Women over 30 years old are getting the chance to be more than just football supporters. Working in partnership with Sport Across Staffordshire and Stoke-On-Trent, Staffordshire FA have introduced a brand new Ladies Over 30’s League which is believed to be the first of its kind in the country.
The format of the league allows ladies to keep fit and socialise in a format of the game that has little commitment. The league takes place once a month which allows ladies to continue their current commitments but to also enjoy the game in a fun and safe environment.
